Service User Forums

Monthly forums with service users have the potential to transform the drug and alcohol treatment system in Cumbria by fostering collaboration and innovation. These forums provide a platform for service users to share experiences, identify barriers, and suggest improvements based on their lived realities. Together, we can co-design services that are more accessible, inclusive, and effective, ensuring they meet the unique challenges of Cumbria, such as rural isolation and limited resources.

Our forums will also be used to gather feedback on current programs, discuss emerging needs, and trial innovative ideas, fostering continuous improvement. They promote mutual learning, as service providers gain deeper insights into user perspectives, while participants feel empowered to shape the system.

Additionally, forums build a supportive community, reducing stigma and encouraging peer-led initiatives that enhance recovery outcomes. By working together, we can create a more responsive, compassionate, and impactful treatment system that drives positive change across Cumbria.
